Reflections Series International presents unique and original programming of the highest quality, combining the intimacy of chamber music with the tools of theater, inviting artists of different disciplines to expand performance traditions and create new works. Reflections seeks to enlighten as well as entertain and to attract new audiences of diverse ages and backgrounds through a body of original, thought-provoking programming.
Within five years, Reflections Series International’s unique programming will be hosted by a dozen recognized cultural centers globally and commission one new work annually. It will also have an acknowledged positive impact on the rapidly changing cultural climate through digital and social media, and by serving as an interdisciplinary educational catalyst through residencies in at least two schools a year.

David Richan, Esq. Chair
David S. Richan is a Partner at Baritz & Colman, LLP heading up the firm’s New York office. His practice for the past twelve years has concentrated on the representation of securities firms and individual brokers in securities arbitration, litigation and regulatory matters around the country. He has represented clients in matters before the SEC, NASD, NYSE and AAA, in cases involving a broad range of issues, including unsuitability, unauthorized trading, market manipulation, fraud, blue sky violations, and other customer-related issues. He is an NASD Industry Arbitrator and has chaired arbitration panels hearing a variety of customer and industry matters. Richan has been a featured speaker at the New York State Bar Association’s “Bridging the Gap” Seminar (Mediations and Settlements), iManage Securities Executive Seminar, New England Securities Law Conference and is co-author with Martin P. Unger of “Is the CRD Constitutional?” Registered Representative Magazine.
Jeffrey L. Abrams, Esq.
Jeffrey L. Abrams, Esq. is Managing Partner at Abrams and Ingersoll, LLP concentrating in matters involving businesses, non-profit organizations, attorney ethics, and estates and trusts. He has practiced law in the Philadelphia area for over 25 years and has lectured nationally on issues involving ethics and complex litigation. Abrams has served on the Reflections Series International Board since its inception, serving as its first Chairman, and is currently Trustees’ Chair of The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter. He also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia. Abrams is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New York, and American Bar Associations.
Dr. Mark Ptashne
Mark Ptashne holds the Ludwig Chair of Molecular Biology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. A member of the National Academy of Sciences, his work on gene regulation has garnered numerous national and international awards including the Lasker Prize for Basic Research. In addition to his many research papers, he has written two books: A Genetic Switch (now in its third edition) and Genes and Signals (co-authored with Alex Gann). He studied science (not music, alas) at Reed College and then Harvard University. He has studied the violin privately for many years.
Neil Schaffel
Neil Schaffel has a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He worked as an engineer and lawyer for many years in the aerospace and construction industries. In 1976, Mr. Schaffel began a successful real estate and administrative law practice, which continued until his retirement in 2011. Neil and his wife, Nancy, are commited to sustaining the arts for generations to come, as well as to nurturing young, emerging artists through a classical music competition they established at An Appalachian Summer Festival.
Berna Feuerstein
Berna Feuerstein is a graduate of Boston University (Liberal Arts). She is associated with Studium, a high-end mosaic, stone and surfaces showroom in Manhattan. Aside from Reflections Series International, Feuerstein is actively engaged in many interests including design, art, collecting ceramics, food, and gardening.
